ORLAND PARK, Illinois – The incredibly popular Nicholas Sparks film ‘The Notebook’ from 2004 is returning with a sequel tentatively entitled ‘The Notebook 2’ and will be filmed in Orland Park, Illinois. Nick Cassavetes is returning as director and Nicholas Sparks has a finished screenplay in hand as filming is set to begin this summer. Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams are returning as their characters Noah and Allie.

The sequel takes place shortly after their wedding when they move to Orland Park for a period of time before eventually returning to Seabrook. No other details of the plot were provided as of now. Fans of the film have been hoping for a sequel for many years and Sparks and Cassavetes appear now to be eager to capitalize on that excitement. No date has been set yet for the film but sources claim that filming will be wrapped up by the end of the year.

LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas – Hollywood actor Matthew McConaughey passed through Little Rock, Arkansas recently and apparently was quite impressed with the residents there. In an interview this week McConaughey said:

“Well… we had a flat tire just as we were about to leave the city limits of Little Rock and two, maybe three cars pulled over within five minutes to help us with it. And no, they had no idea who I was before they pulled over. They were very helpful and very friendly. I gotta say, I was really impressed with the people of Little Rock, Arkansas. That would’ve never happened in L.A.!”

LANCASTER, California – Local news reports out of Lancaster, California are reporting that Hollywood actor Jim Carrey was involved in a bar fight in Lancaster late last night. One man who allegedly attacked Carrey was arrested and is being held on assault charges. According to patrons in the bar at the time of the incident, two men who appeared to recognize Carrey began to verbally attack him for no apparent reason. Carrey then stood up and said something back to the men when one of the men lunged toward him. Other bar patrons immediately intervened and restrained the man until police arrived. Carrey was not injured.

One of the bar patrons, Emily Cole had this to say about the incident, “It’s not very often that we get to see a big name celebrity in our city and it’s such a shame that some of the people here decide to give him such a terrible welcome. As much as it bothered me to see him treated that way it also made me proud to see how quickly other people came to his aid and end a situation that could’ve been a lot worse. The guy who attacked him got roughed up after what he did and it was well deserved. Jim seemed to laugh it off afterwards and actually had a lot of nice things to say about the people here. I hope he comes back sometime.”

“I knew a girl from Thornton, Colorado and I visited her and her family there years ago and I thought at the time that maybe she was just an exception but she wasn’t. FARMINGTON, New Mexico – The long awaited sequel to the 2008 film, Step Brothers, is finally on its way. Will Ferrell and Adam McKay are once again collaborating on a script that should be finished this spring. All of the original cast including Will Ferrell, John C. Reilly, Richard Jenkins, Mary Steenburgen, and others are set to return.

Few details concerning the plot have been released but insider sources are claiming that it involves the two step brothers, both now with menial jobs, living in an apartment together in Farmington, New Mexico. Dale finds out that he has accidentally impregnated a young woman who wants nothing to do with the baby after it is born leaving Dale and Brennan to raise the baby themselves.
