GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan – Hollywood actor Matthew McConaughey passed through Grand Rapids, Michigan recently and apparently was quite impressed with the residents there. In an interview this week McConaughey said:

“Well, we had a flat tire just as we were about to leave the city limits of Grand Rapids and two, maybe three cars pulled over within five minutes to help us with it. And no, they had no idea who I was before they pulled over. They were very helpful and very friendly. I gotta say, I was really impressed with the people of Grand Rapids, Michigan! That would’ve never happened in L.A.!”

Matthew’s vehicle was back on the road within a short period of time. What a great testament to the residents of Grand Rapids!

ROCHESTER, New York – Jennifer Lopez – yes, that Jennifer Lopez – has reportedly just bought a home in Rochester, New York. In an interview over the weekend she was asked why. Jennifer replied:

“I like Rochester, New York. The people are great, the food is great, and sometimes in life I think you need to change it up a bit. People here are genuine and they’ll tell you what they think and I like that.  I think it’ll be a nice place to live.”

SAN JOSE, California – Numerous news outlets are reporting that a portion of the next Star Wars movie will be filmed just outside of San Jose, California. The location in California will represent a previously unknown planet in the Star Wars universe.

Writer and director Rian Johnson is said to have personally chosen the location and will need the help of a large number of extras from San Jose and the surrounding area. Reports claim that a big reason in choosing to film in California is that the state has recently been providing significant incentives to production companies that choose to film in their state.

No other details have been provided so far except that filming is set to begin sometime next year.

MISSOURI CITY, Texas – The incredibly popular Nicholas Sparks film ‘The Notebook’ from 2004 is returning with a sequel tentatively entitled ‘The Notebook 2’ and will be filmed in Missouri City, Texas. Nick Cassavetes is returning as director and Nicholas Sparks has a finished screenplay in hand as filming is set to begin this summer. Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams are returning as their characters Noah and Allie.

The sequel takes place shortly after their wedding when they move to Missouri City for a period of time before eventually returning to Seabrook. No other details of the plot were provided as of now. Fans of the film have been hoping for a sequel for many years and Sparks and Cassavetes appear now to be eager to capitalize on that excitement. No date has been set yet for the film but sources claim that filming will be wrapped up by the end of the year.
