DECATUR, Illinois – Hollywood actor Vin Diesel passed through Decatur, Illinois recently and apparently was quite impressed with the residents there. In an interview this week Diesel said:

“Well, we had a flat tire just as we were about to leave the city limits of Decatur and two, maybe three cars pulled over within five minutes to help us with it. And no, they had no idea who I was before they pulled over. They were very helpful and very friendly. I gotta say, I was really impressed with the people of Decatur, Illinois! That would’ve never happened in L.A.!”

Vin’s vehicle was back on the road within a short period of time. What a great testament to the residents of Decatur!

LANCASTER, California – Numerous news outlets are reporting that a portion of the next Star Wars movie will be filmed just outside of Lancaster, California. The location in California will represent a previously unknown planet in the Star Wars universe.

Writer and director Rian Johnson is said to have personally chosen the location and will need the help of a large number of extras from Lancaster and the surrounding area. Reports claim that a big reason in choosing to film in California is that the state has recently been providing significant incentives to production companies that choose to film in their state.

No other details have been provided so far except that filming is set to begin sometime next year.

STAMFORD, Connecticut – A new Harry Potter spin-off film tentatively entitled “Quidditch Through the Ages,” based on J.K. Rowling’s spin-off novel of the same name is reportedly in the early stages of pre-production and a significant portion of it will be filmed in the Stamford, Connecticut area. Details of the film are understandably tight-lipped at this point but insider sources claim that it centers around the Quidditch World Cup which will take place in Stamford and will likely need a large number of extras from the local area.

Quidditch, a sport popular among wizards and witches, was a key element of the novels but was significantly cut from the Harry Potter films.

Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint are reprising their roles for the upcoming film as are a number of others from the Harry Potter series. “Quidditch Through the Ages” will be the next spin-off after 2016’s “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” but it will be the first spin-off to have much of the original cast.

ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico – The long awaited sequel to the 2008 film, Step Brothers, is finally on its way. Will Ferrell and Adam McKay are once again collaborating on a script that should be finished this spring. All of the original cast including Will Ferrell, John C. Reilly, Richard Jenkins, Mary Steenburgen, and others are set to return.

Few details concerning the plot have been released but insider sources are claiming that it involves the two step brothers, both now with menial jobs, living in an apartment together in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Dale finds out that he has accidentally impregnated a young woman who wants nothing to do with the baby after it is born leaving Dale and Brennan to raise the baby themselves.
