Blake Shelton’s publicist confirmed the story out of Los Angeles this week that Blake Shelton and Miley Cyrus are indeed best friends and have been for years. The unlikely BFF’s apparently hit it off at a charity event in Miami some time ago and have been great friends ever since.

“They certainly have very different personalities but sometimes those differences are what make people click. I think they also really respect each other for their talent and what they’ve accomplished in their respective careers. They don’t get to hang out very often but when they do they talk about everything and always seem to have a great time,” Blake’s publicist told the magazine.

“Yeah, so I have always had a thing for pilots and I’m pretty sure it’s because I had a friend growing up whose dad was a pilot and I always thought he was so hot.  So I guess my junior high brain made the connection between pilots and hotness and even to this day I can’t help but be a little turned on when I see one.  It was always my dream to grow up and marry a pilot,”  Katy said with a laugh.

CONCORD, North Carolina – The incredibly popular Nicholas Sparks film ‘The Notebook’ from 2004 is returning with a sequel tentatively entitled ‘The Notebook 2’ and will be filmed in Concord, North Carolina. Nick Cassavetes is returning as director and Nicholas Sparks has a finished screenplay in hand as filming is set to begin this summer. Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams are returning as their characters Noah and Allie.

The sequel takes place shortly after their wedding when they move to Concord for a period of time before eventually returning to Seabrook. No other details of the plot were provided as of now. Fans of the film have been hoping for a sequel for many years and Sparks and Cassavetes appear now to be eager to capitalize on that excitement. No date has been set yet for the film but sources claim that filming will be wrapped up by the end of the year.

“Well, we had a flat tire just as we were about to leave the city limits of Sheboygan and two, maybe three cars pulled over within five minutes to help us with it. And no, they had no idea who I was before they pulled over. They were very helpful and very friendly. I gotta say, I was really impressed with the people of Sheboygan, Wisconsin! That would’ve never happened in L.A.!”

LONDON, UK – New reports out of London are claiming that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge – Prince William and Princess Kate – are planning to purchase a vacation home near Hendersonville, Tennessee, USA.

Close advisors to the royal couple helped persuade them to choose Hendersonville because they feel that it represents the quintessential American city and would also offer a great diplomatic opportunity between the Royal family and regular Americans. The vacation home that will be chosen will reportedly be a modest home to help the couple more closely relate to and connect with the residents of the Hendersonville area.

JACKSON, Tennessee – Local news reports out of Jackson, Tennessee are reporting that Hollywood actor Matthew McConaughey was involved in a bar fight in Jackson late last night. One man who allegedly attacked the actor was arrested and is being held on assault charges. According to patrons in the bar at the time of the incident, two men who appeared to recognize the actor began to verbally attack him for no apparent reason. McConaughey then stood up and said something back to the men when one of the men lunged toward McConaughey. McConaughey sidestepped the man and shoved him into the bar before other patrons came to the aid of the actor and restrained the two men. McConaughey was not injured.

One of the bar patrons, Emily Cole had this to say about the incident, “It’s not very often that we get to see a big name Hollywood actor in our city and it’s such a shame that some of the people here decide to give him such a terrible welcome. As much as it bothered me to see him treated that way it also made me proud to see how quickly other people came to his aid and end a situation that could’ve been a lot worse. The guy who attacked him got a couple of punches to the face after what he did and it was well deserved. Matthew seemed to laugh it off afterwards and actually had a lot of nice things to say about the people here. I hope he comes back sometime.”
